"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

New EarthRoamer Corporate Headquarters Open for Business

February 2nd, 2008 marked a significant milestone for EarthRoamer as we moved into our newly constructed 56,000 square foot corporate headquarters. Located high on a hill in Lafayette, Colorado, our new corporate headquarters features easy access to E-470 and Denver International Airport, along with spectacular views of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Front Range.

Our new corporate headquarters more than triples our manufacturing space and features a comfortable showroom, 2 floors of office space, an expansive production area, dedicated cabinet, metal and upholstery shops, and a complete service department. Click here to see photos of our new headquarters under construction.

Be sure to stop by and visit us when you are in the Denver area - our new address is 1460 Overlook Drive, Lafayette, Colorado 80026. All phone numbers (main 720-304-3174 fax 720-304-7568) and email addresses (info@earthroamer.com) remain the same as before.

EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicles

If you have a desire to get off the beaten path and explore, but can't picture yourself in a typical RV, we have the answer for you — a four wheel drive, all weather EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicle (XV). We manufacture and sell what we believe are the ultimate 4WD campers. Our EarthRoamer XVs are equipped with all the systems needed to travel confidently in remote areas for extended periods of time without dependence on external campsite hookups. Why be tethered to a concrete pad in an RV, when you can be experiencing adventure in an XV?

We have been building and rigorously testing expedition vehicles for nearly a decade from the bitter shores of the Arctic Ocean in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to the warm soothing waters of the Sea of Cortez and throughout mainland Mexico and Central America. We rely on our vehicles in harsh environments, so we build our vehicles to last. We use the highest quality materials, hardware and components. We are so confident in the quality of our vehicles that we provide a factory three year/36,000 mile warranty.

We believe in preserving the environment for the adventurers of tomorrow, so our vehicles are designed to be powered by renewable energy sources like solar power and biodiesel, and we actively support the Tread Lightly philosophy of responsible recreation.

We encourage you to compare the value of an EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicle (XV) with other recreational vehicles (RVs). There is no other choice that provides the quality, durability, and convenience of operations in a package with four-wheel drive and four-season capability. With an EarthRoamer XV, you can truly Live Your Dream!

EarthRoamer XV-JP first Camper to Cross the Rubicon

On September 5th, 2007, an EarthRoamer XV-JP became the first camper to successfully complete the Rubicon Trail. (see photos here) One of the most difficult and definitely the most well known 4x4 trail in the United States, the Rubicon Trail in the California High Sierras is a proving ground like no other. Twenty two miles of extreme terrain including rocky climbs with massive boulders, narrow passages, steep inclines and an occasional mud-hole - crossing the Rubicon is truly a journey past the point of no return, demanding everything a vehicle and driver has to offer. Driven by Scott Brady and spotted by Chris Marzonie, The Jeep Rubicon Unlimited based EarthRoamer XV-JP did not disappoint on its namesake trail. With its aggressive 33" mud terrain tires, ultra low 5.13 gearing, locking differentials and stout skid plates, the EarthRoamer XV-JP camper has gone where no camper has gone before. This is the first time a self-contained, fully enclosed production camper has conquered the Rubicon.

Vehicle testing – which has taken the XV-JP proto-type from its home base in the mountains of Colorado through the jungles of Central America, the deserts of Moab Utah, and now the Rubicon trail – is complete and XV-JP production has begun.

EarthRoamer Owners Rally 2007

EarthRoamer Owners Rallies are a great way for owners to meet each other, spend time with EarthRoamer employees and learn how to get the most out of the EarthRoamer experience. The rallies are held annually at locations within a day's drive of EarthRoamer headquarters. EarthRoamer employees and EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicle owners are invited to participate. In addition to being a lot of fun, rallies typically include training on four-wheel drive techniques, recovery tactics, wilderness safety, and expedition travel.

The 2007 EarthRoamer Owners Rally was held near Durango Colorado and event highlights included a drive over Ophir Pass, exploring Mesa Verde National Park and riding the spectacular Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Wilderness medical training by Carl Gilmore and four wheel drive and recovery training by Scott Brady were both fun and informative. Slideshows of an Expeditions West Arctic Adventure and EarthRoamer's Central America Expedition inspired everyone to get out and explore.

The 2008 EarthRoamer Owners Rally is scheduled for August 21st through 26th and will begin with a kickoff party at our new headquarters before caravanning to a remote location near Leadville, Colorado. Click here to see photos of the 2007 EarthRoamer Rally.

Photography

Good photographers don't take photographs, they make photographs. Making good pictures is challenging and requires vision, good technique and high quality equipment. To really make good photographs, the photographer must see beyond what is there, and have a vision of what can be there. Photography in many ways was the start of EarthRoamer.
