Ford F-550
The Ford F-550 Super Duty received a major redesign in 2017, further raising the bar with multiple new chassis, powertrain and technology features, making it the toughest, smartest, most capable Super Duty ever.
The Ford Super Duty’s enhanced capability starts with high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy body that helps reduce weight up to 350 pounds. Ford reinvested weight savings into high strength steel components that provide more towing and hauling capability than ever.
Foundational improvements for Super Duty include an all-new, partially boxed frame that is more than 95 percent high-strength steel and up to 24 times stiffer than the previous frame to support improved towing and hauling performance.
Lariat Interior Package
Ford offers the same Lariat premium interior on its F-550 models as it does on its best selling F-250 & F-350 models. This interior far exceeds the quality of interiors found in typical commercial trucks. With standard features like heated and ventilated 10-way power leather captain’s chairs, adjustable pedals and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and generous leg room, you will feel like you are driving a luxury car and quickly forget that you are behind the wheel of a supremely capable Xpedition Vehicle.
One of many features that distinguishes the LTS from other RVs and expedition vehicles is the large truck to camper pass-through. By removing the rear window and cutting out the rear panel of the cab, a generous opening is created between the cab and camper. If the weather is bad, security is a concern, or a passenger just wants to grab something out of the fridge or use the bathroom, simply move from the cab to the camper without ever leaving the truck.
6.7L PowerStroke Turbodiesel
The Ford-designed, Ford-engineered, Ford-built second-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 turbo diesel that powers Super Duty now delivers a best-in-class combination of 330 horsepower and a staggering 750 lb.-ft. of torque. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke comes backed by the TorqShift six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission for reliable and efficient load carrying and towing.
Driving Range and Fuel Capacity
We install a secondary fuel tank in addition to Ford’s stock 40 gallon tank, for a total of 95 gallons of diesel fuel. Combine that with 9-11mpg for a driving range of up to 1,000 miles.
