Attention all EarthRoamer fans! This is the vehicle that started it all and is the only vehicle of its kind built on a Dodge 2500 chassis and powered by the legendary Cummins engine. The ER2K expedition camper is the "original EarthRoamer" that was featured in Four Wheeler magazine and can be yours for $65,000 (A $5,000 deposit will hold it for one week). If you like to get away from it all, and traverse the roads less traveled, in an extremely capable and comfortable rig, this is the vehicle for you. It is loaded with features and upgrades and is a blast to drive.

The odometer is showing 91,000 miles but this mileage is understated by about 20% due to the larger 37 inch tires. The actual mileage is probably closer to 108,000 miles. The ER2K has a 52 gallon fuel capacity and mileage can be in the 12-13 mpg range if driven conservatively (55-60 mph) providing a useful range of about 500 miles. The fresh water capacity is 36 gallons, gray water is 12 gallons and a port-pottie with a 5 gallon black water tank is used for the toilet. The vehicle uses a shower pan and shower curtain along with the sink sprayer for showers and hot water is engine heated. Cooking is with a Wallas diesel stove and heating is with an Espar diesel heater. Power is provided by 2 roof mounted solar panels, heavy duty alternator with Balmar charge controller and one (255ah) 8D size AGM battery. Stand-up height in the camper is just under 6 feet.

The ER2K was used on a major trip to Alaska in 1999, a trip to Baja in 2001, touring of the US and Canada in 2002 and a second trip to Baja in 2002. In 2003 it completed the White Rim Trail in Utah. Other than EarthRoamer Owners rallies (the ER2K has attended all three ER Owners Rallies) the ER2K has been mostly sitting in storage. Overall the vehicle is in good (but clearly used!) condition. It has been sitting a lot, so it needs to be driven and given a liitle TLC.
